About Me

Growing up in Nigeria, where gender bias is evident, I have always been acutely aware of the disparities and the need for access and opportunities, as well as inclusive representation for women and young girls in policy discussions.

This awareness has driven my academic journey in International Relations and Diplomacy, deepening my understanding of global issues and highlighting the vital role these studies play in equipping individuals to navigate complex challenges, foster international cooperation, and harness digital tools for effective communication and policymaking in our digitized world.

This is why I use the power of storytelling and the transformative impact of social media to shape narratives and drive meaningful change. I am an enthusiastic and results-oriented individual with a strong background in social media management, data analysis, content creation, and digital advocacy.

Career

Internships

I began my professional journey with an internship at Hacey Health Initiative, an NGO dedicated to improving health for vulnerable populations in Africa. Here, I gained valuable knowledge in the health sector and community engagement. I then interned at Orodata Science, an organization focused on using data analysis to drive impactful discoveries. This experience deepened my understanding of the tech sector and the power of data.

Professional Experience

Since July 2024, I have worked part-time as a Social Media Manager for Rolling Grill and Barbecue in Lagos, Nigeria. I manage social media accounts, create engaging content, develop social media strategies, and analyze metrics. Previously, I served as a Social Media Manager and Customer Support for Psyminimal Corporations, providing customer service and managing social media accounts.

From August 2023 to December 2023, I was a Production and Markerting Assistant for The Lolo Cynthia Show in Nairobi, Kenya, where I assisted viewers, managed communications, conducted research, and provided on-site production assistance. I also served as a Social Media Assistant at Bonchi Production in South Africa, I contributed to the Festival of Nigeria's social media strategy and content creation.

Currently, I serve as an Assistant Social Media Manager for Denlaa Creative's Community Empowerment Initiative, managing social media accounts, creating content, and analyzing metrics to promote community events and artist showcases.

Volunteer Experience

My passion for helping people has led me to various volunteer roles. As an EMID Recorder for UNICEF's Integrated Vaccine Exercise in 2022, I recorded data for vaccination recipients and ensured a smooth process. I also served as a Teaching Assistant for Lolo Talks' My Body is Mine (BIM) Training, educating young boys on consent and sexual education. Additionally, I volunteered in community service at Festac Town, educating women on menstrual hygiene, domestic violence, and sexual health.

Creative Projects

Content creation on TikTok and creative writing are among my favorite creative pursuits. I do these activities mainly for fun, but they consistently introduce me to interesting people and help me develop skills that are directly relevant to my professional life.

On TikTok, I focus on themes of girlhood and alternative fashion, providing a creative outlet and connecting me with a community of similar interests. Additionally, my art and expressive writing enhance my storytelling abilities, which significantly benefit my career.
